Privacy Policy

Qesty is a private, offline Android app for managing personal installment plans, payments, and documents.

Effective: 13 August 2026 Publisher: Ahmed Nabawy Contact: Ahmed@nabawy.com

Overview

This policy explains how Qesty handles information when you use the app. Qesty is designed to keep your installment, payment, note, and document information on your device.

The short version: Qesty does not create accounts, does not run its own server, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not send the information you enter to Ahmed Nabawy or other third parties.

Information Qesty stores

Qesty stores the information you choose to enter or attach in the app. This can include:

  • installment plans, dates, amounts, currencies, and payment status;
  • payment records, notes, and payment methods;
  • optional receipt images and PDF documents; and
  • your local app preferences, such as language, currency, reminder settings, and theme.

This information is stored locally in Qesty’s app-private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to the publisher or used for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

Permissions and device features

Notifications

Qesty may ask for notification permission so it can show local reminders for upcoming, due, or overdue installments. You can decline or change this permission in Android settings.

Biometric or device credential

If you enable app lock, Qesty uses Android’s biometric or device-credential system to unlock the app. Qesty does not receive, collect, or store biometric information.

Documents and images

When you choose a receipt or document, Qesty copies the selected file into its private storage so it can show the file inside the app. Qesty supports PDF and image documents only.

Security

Qesty encrypts its local database. Documents copied into Qesty are stored in private app storage and encrypted individually. Android Auto Backup and device transfer are disabled because Qesty’s encryption keys are device-bound.

No security method can guarantee absolute protection. You should keep your device protected and store any exported backup files securely.

Portable backups

Qesty can create a portable .qesty backup containing the data and documents needed to restore Qesty on another device. These portable backup files are not password-protected or encrypted. Anyone who obtains one may be able to read its contents.

Only create a backup when you need one, and store it in a private, secure location. Qesty does not upload portable backups to a service.

Google Play updates

When Qesty is installed through Google Play, it can ask Google Play whether a newer app version is available. Google Play may process technical app and device information to provide that update service under its own policies. Qesty does not use this check to collect your installment, payment, note, or document information.

Sharing and sale of information

Qesty does not sell, rent, share, or disclose the information you enter to advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties. Qesty does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

Retention and deletion

Your information remains on your device until you delete it in Qesty or remove the app. Deleting an item removes its corresponding local records. Uninstalling Qesty removes its local app data and device-bound encryption keys.

If you want to keep your information before uninstalling Qesty or moving to a new device, create a portable backup first and store it securely.

Children’s privacy

Qesty is intended for adults who manage their own financial commitments. It is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
